We didn't know about a consumer proposal until we read about it on one of Hoyes, Michalos & Assoc. websites. If you want to be treated with dignity and not made feel you're a bad/unresponsible person speak with one of the team members. With us it is Mark -- a fabulous person. He explains everything so we understand. He's so kind and knowledgeable. We are happy now that we have a structured plan to deal with our finances. We are working towards paying off our debt with an amount that fits our budget. And we can call anytime if questions arise. So if anyone needs debt free help we can't stress enough to get help from Hoyes, Michalos & Assoc.

I had a consultation with another debt relief agency about filing for a consumer proposal and they asked me for 400.00 upfront which made me suspicious about them. I'm very intuitive and didn't have a good feeling about them so I called Hoyes, Michalos and Associates and as soon as I talked to Sandra Sykora and heard how knowledgeable, experienced, kind and understanding she was I knew I would use them to file my consumer proposal. They all are licensed insolvency trustees. She never asked me for any money and she also never heard of this other debt relief agency so the public needs to be aware of this. She has helped me tremendously through a difficult time in my life always making me feel at total ease and comfortable. I would highly recommend this company and especially Sandra Sykora. She is outstanding!!

Thanks to covid and being off work I managed to get myself caught up in some debt trying to keep up with my bills. I did some google research and came across info on a consumer proposal on hoyes, michalos website. The word "bankruptcy" was terrifying to me and I really didn't know what it meant. Just knew it as something bad that ruined your credit score and that they would take my car away. Which is not true at all. Ted and Meg were amazing at explaining my options and how everything works and calming all my anxieties. They did not judge me once. They were completely understanding of my situation and they genuinely cared about helping me get back on track with my finances.
I didn't loose my car (LOL), my credit isn't ruined forever and my debt will be paid in 3-5 years with no interest on it !! I now have the extra money for gas or to buy a snack at the store if I want too or not question if i can afford to buy myself a coffee in the morning on my way to work. I'm not constantly under stress worrying about having my bills paid on time and working crazy over time hours draining myself physically and mentally. I'm not worrying about if my car breaks down if I will be able to afford to fix it or not. Things that no person working 40 hours a week should ever have to worry about because you're just trying to live life and keep your head above water.
I highly recommend contacting these people if you have that stress in your life, you will not be judged and life will be so much better and a lot less stressful.

They were recommended to me by a friend. Scott was extremely helpful. Don't struggle, go see Scott. There is help available and no shame in asking for it. Sleep better and reset. Life happens. We all fall down and need to get back up. Let Scott do that for you! Rebuild, reset, and Renew your goals with a restart.
