Credit counselling is a great solution if you have enough money to pay your debts, but you need a break on the interest being charged.
A credit counsellor summarizes your debts and then prepares a multi-year repayment plan on your behalf, called a debt management plan. At the same time, they provide instruction and guidance on your personal finances, including help with budgeting. More information on credit counselling is available at credit-counselling.org.

If you prefer to deal with a counsellor over the phone, you can contact InCharge Debt Solutions, a national, non-profit credit counselling agency that will deal with you over the phone; no face to face meetings are required, but are available if you wish. They can be reached at 1-866-816-6547.
